Dr. Grice has established herself as an expert in retail pharmacy, currently serving as a staff pharmacist at Walmart since 2024. In her role, she administers vaccinations, evaluates prescriptions, dispenses medications and provides patient education on the safe and effective use of medications. She supervises a team of eight pharmacy professionals and collaborates with fellow pharmacists to foster professional growth. Her responsibilities include maintaining accurate drug inventories, particularly those of controlled substances, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws, company policies and procedures. Her leadership has significantly improved the quality of patient care at Walmart.

Before her current position, Dr. Grice served as a clinical pharmacist at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, where she refined her skills in patient care and medication management, working in the facility's inpatient, outpatient and clinic areas. Her dedication to patient care is exemplified by her most notable achievement at the VA Medical Center: helping a patient suffering from migraines by identifying the medication as the trigger, significantly improving the patient's quality of life. Dr. Grice was unaware of her profound impact on this patient's well-being until she conducted a patient discharge medication reconciliation counseling, and the patient thanked her profusely for taking the time to help.

Dr. Grice began her career with CVS Health in 2020 as a seasonal staff pharmacist, supporting efforts to administer the initial COVID-19 vaccine doses. During this time, she played a crucial role in preparing and administering these vaccines to hundreds of patients and staff members at long-term care and residential facilities throughout San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Her ability to handle high-pressure situations and make a significant impact was evident in her instrumental role in training fellow pharmacists on vaccine preparation and nurses on the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. Although Dr. Grice's tenure with CVS Health was brief, hundreds of San Antonio area residents benefited from her contributions during a particularly challenging time for many in the country and worldwide.

Dr. Grice's journey in pharmacy began with her academic pursuits at the University of the Incarnate Word, where she completed her prerequisite coursework with exceptional grades. She then moved on to the Feik School of Pharmacy, graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2020. Her education laid the foundation for her success and is complemented by American Red Cross certifications in basic life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator. She also holds a certification in medication therapy management from the American Pharmacists Association.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Grice has been actively involved in civic organizations and volunteer work through HOPE Worldwide, serving in Johannesburg, South Africa, Kathmandu, Nepal, and San Antonio, Texas. Her local efforts include serving as a community outreach representative for the Kappa Epsilon fraternity and participating in various health and wellness events as an intern pharmacist.

Dr. Grice's commitment to helping her community is truly inspiring. Outside of her career, Dr. Grice is a proud mother of two sons, two daughters through marriage and three grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Looking ahead, she is determined to become a retail pharmacy manager. She also aspires to support the next generation of pharmacists and advocate for their emerging profession.
