Before establishing Doctor Weiss Wellness in 2021, Dr. Weiss served as an adult psychiatrist specializing in medical counseling and medication management in 2020. Between 2017 and 2019, she was a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist at Family and Children's Aid. Her academic contributions in the field include serving as an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences from 2015 to 2017 as well as psychiatry clerkship director. During that period, she served as unit chief attending psychiatrist of the pediatric psychiatry unit at Westchester Medical Center.

Dr. Weiss began her career with a residency in psychiatry at Mount-Sinai, St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, from 2004 to 2007, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from 2007 to 2009. Soon after, she founded The Child and Family Wellness Center in 2010.

As a practicing professional in her field, Dr. Weiss' affiliations include membership in the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Throughout her career, she has also contributed to educational committees such as the Clinical Youth Student Advancement Committee at New York Medical College. Since Dr. Weiss' expertise in holistic psychiatry is widely recognized, she has earned accolades such as the Health 2.0 Excellence in Healthcare Award in 2025 as well as being named a Top Doctor in Connecticut. Moreover, she was awarded the Most Compassionate Doctor Award in 2012, among other recognitions.

Most recently, Dr. Weiss served as a keynote speaker at the 2025 Health 2.0 Conference. In tandem with her in-person contributions and involvement in the health care community, she has contributed significantly to academic literature, coauthoring articles such as "Motivational Interviewing and Adolescent Psychopharmacology," which was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and "Aripiprazole as an adjunctive treatment for refractory unipolar depression," which was published in Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology & Biological Psychiatry.

Educationally, Dr. Weiss' own academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in pre-medicine and pre-medical studies from Boston University, which she earned in 2000. Originally from Haifa, Israel, she returned to her home country to attend the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where she received a Doctor of Medicine in 2004. In reflecting on her journey, she attributes her success to overcoming personal adversity, which has fueled her passion for helping her patients utilize their challenges as opportunities to grow and thrive.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Weiss is a devoted mother. Previously, she served on the advisory board of Mythic Bridge. Looking ahead, she aims to revolutionize the health care system by making it more preventive, integrative and patient-focused.
