Dr. Niamba's academic achievements have been crucial to his professional success. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in human factors and applied cognition (psychology) from the University of South Dakota in 2024, following a master's degree in computer science with a specialization in artificial intelligence. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of South Dakota, obtained in 2018, and another bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Midrand Graduate Institute in South Africa (now Eduvos). These educational accomplishments have equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in his field.

Dr. Niamba's commitment to community service is demonstrated through his volunteer work with Meals on Wheels in South Dakota. This involvement reflects his dedication to giving back to society and supporting those in need. Additionally, he is a member of the Golden Key Organization, which aligns with his professional interests and provides opportunities for networking and collaboration within the industry.

Dr. Niamba considers Green Light Bionics to be the highlight of his career. Despite being newly incorporated with only three employees, including himself, the venture represents the most daring and challenging endeavor he has undertaken yet. Having spent much of his career in academia, he took a significant risk by transitioning from a full-time position to part-time to focus on his startup. He feels strongly that this accomplishment stands out as his greatest achievement, given his ability to make it a reality despite the risks and uncertainties involved.

Dr. Niamba attributes much of his success to his experiences growing up in Ivory Coast, West Africa, a nation that endured a decade-long Civil War from 2002 to 2012. Witnessing poverty and hunger during his upbringing profoundly influenced him and inspired a personal promise to ensure that future generations would not face similar hardships. He considers his family to be a significant source of motivation, reminding himself that his efforts are ultimately for their well-being in times of uncertainty. Dr. Niamba also acknowledges the mentors who have supported him throughout his journey, especially Dr. Frank Schieber, his former academicadvisor, and Ryan Oynes, the current president of the Discovery District, who recruited Dr. Niamba to his current position at the research park, recognizing his keen interest in entrepreneurship.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Niamba enjoys boxing as a recreational activity. He envisions transitioning fully into his role as chief executive officer of Green Light Bionics, focusing on contributing to the development of the biotech ecosystem in Sioux Falls.
