Ms. MacDonald's career began at Eli Lilly and Company in the United States, where she held various roles of increasing responsibility over 17 years. She then led multi-billion dollar P&Ls, ranging from start-up chief operating officer to executive roles at UCB in the European and Asia-Pacific regions, to make a global impact in saving and improving lives. Her exceptional track record earned her a 2020 Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Luminary Award for being a "shining example of transformational leadership."

Ms. MacDonald has a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from The Ohio State University and graduated from the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
