NEW YORK, April 28, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Lindamarie Werntz Coatman has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Werntz Coatman is a clinical assistant professor at the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, where she has been teaching full-time in the Management Science Department since 2022 and as an adjunct instructor since 2013. She is also the founder and president of an executive coaching business, Sagacious Leadership Coaching LLC, where she empowers leaders and emerging leaders to enhance their effectiveness through transformational business challenges.

At Pace University, Dr. Werntz Coatman leverages her practical and theoretical management experience to engage her students in learning. She believes her role as a professor extends beyond teaching and is dedicated to supporting her students outside of the classroom. Dr. Werntz Coatman leads the Human Resources Management Club and mentors undergraduate and graduate students, providing career advice, job search assistance and interview guidance and support. In 2024, she received the Student Service Award for her commitment and service to her students within the Management Department at the Lubin School of Business. Additionally, in 2014, she received the Higher Education Certificate of Recognition for her creativity, effort and effectiveness in the Lubin School of Business continuing education program.

Before joining academia and starting her own company, Dr. Werntz Coatman had a distinguished career in the consulting and financial services industries. She began her professional journey as an international tax specialist and consultant, working for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Gemini Consulting, a Capgemini company. During this time, she began to build her expertise in international tax and employment law practices across the United States, Europe, Asia and South Africa.

Dr. Werntz Coatman's career trajectory pivoted when she joined Morgan Stanley, remaining with the company for nearly a decade. During this time, she held various roles, including vice president of human resources, where she led international expansion efforts and established talent programs in Brazil, China and Japan. She was also the head of human resources for Morgan Stanley's private equity division and co-led the development of diversity and leadership programs across the investment management division.

Following her time at Morgan Stanley, Dr. Werntz Coatman joined Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, as a senior vice president in human resources. In this role, she led talent programs for the Atlantic region as a management committee member and the human resources business partner leader of the retail and commercial banking businesses.

In 2008, Dr. Werntz Coatman joined China's first shareholder-owned bank, China Merchants Bank (CMB) in New York. This startup endeavor was CMB's first location outside of China. As a management committee member, chief administrative officer, and head of human resources, Dr. Werntz Coatman built multi-cultural human capital systems and practices that enabled employees and teams to drive prosperous business outcomes.

Dr. Werntz Coatman joined DNB, Norway's largest bank, in 2008. She was responsible for organizational systems and people practices that ensured the well-being of employees while accomplishing desired business results across the United States, Chile and Brazil. As a senior vice president, head of human resources, and management committee member, she developed strategies that aligned employee success with DNB's mission, values and culture.

A first-generation college graduate, Dr. Werntz Coatman believes her natural curiosity and academic achievement have been crucial to her professional success. She earned a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2022. She completed her Master of Science in accounting and a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a focus on accounting, both from the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Werntz Coatman is certified as a professional coach and an Energy Leadership Index master practitioner by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). She is also a certified public accountant. She is an inductee of the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders and has been invited to speak at numerous events, including those sponsored by the National Foreign Trade Council, the Westchester Society of Human Resources Management, the Forum for Expatriate Management, and New York City Community Workshops.

Dr. Werntz Coatman's commitment to civic engagement is evident in her involvement with Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation (SNARR) Northeast, where she has been a foster mom, dog trainer, fundraiser, transporter and companion since 2011. She is also a board member of the Association of International Bank Audit and Compliance Professionals. Previously, she was a member of the New Jersey Innovation Partnership Institute, which partnered academic professionals with business leaders to better prepare college graduates for professional careers in finance.

Dr. Werntz Coatman enjoys traveling, paddle boarding, participating in enthusiast car shows and spending time with friends and family. She credits her personal and professional accomplishments to the support of her parents, friends, colleagues, mentors and husband.
