In addition to her role at the fire protection district, Ms. Neves has been a varsity volleyball head coach at Sonoma Valley High School. Her coaching career began several years earlier, having served as head volleyball coach at the Empire Volleyball Club and Adele Harrison Middle School and as volleyball coach at the Evolve Volleyball Club. Her dedication to coaching is rooted in her own experience as a Division 1 athlete, which she considers one of her most notable achievements.

Ms. Neves's entrepreneurial spirit is evident through her ownership of Homegrown Sonoma, a small family farm she opened in 2020. The farm offers spring, summer, and fall camps for youth, providing them with opportunities to interact with animals and engage in outdoor activities. This venture reflects her commitment to creating enriching experiences for young people outside of traditional educational settings.

Ms. Neves's professional journey includes serving as director of sports and recreation at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley from 2016 to 2021, where she was the first female athletic director. This role allowed her to further develop her skills in organizational psychology and leadership, areas in which she is considered an expert. Her ability to bring people together toward a common goal has been a hallmark of her career.

Ms. Neves's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Sonoma State University, where she graduated cum laude in 2007. Her academic excellence was recognized through numerous awards, including the Dr. William K. Crowley Award for Academic Excellence and multiple All CCAA Academic Awards.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Neves is deeply involved in civic activities. She has served on various boards and committees, including the Parent Advisory Committee for the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, and she is a parent volunteer for the Sonoma Valley Unified School District. Her commitment to community service is further demonstrated by her involvement at Flowery Elementary School as group treasurer, communications assistant, and fundraising coordinator.

Born in Nebraska, Ms. Neves balances her professional life with personal interests that include caring for animals such as pigs, rabbits, and chickens on her farm. As a mother of three children, she exemplifies what it means to be both an effective working mother and a supportive parent. Looking ahead, she plans to pursue a master's degree in organizational psychology with aspirations of becoming a therapist.
