His journey began at the University of Kansas, where he led advertising sales for the campus newspaper as general sales manager, generating close to $1 million in annual revenue. This formative experience laid the groundwork for a career rooted in innovative marketing strategies and client-focused solutions.

Mr. North launched his professional career at Entercom Radio in Kansas City and later advanced to account executive in San Francisco. He further distinguished himself at CBS Radio (now Audacy), working closely with regional business owners and marketing leaders to develop integrated advertising campaigns.

He spent nearly two decades at Nexstar Media Group Inc., where his leadership and sales acumen earned him four promotions. Rising through the ranks from account executive to director of sales, Mr. North made a lasting impact by helping struggling businesses navigate challenges from the 2008 economic downturn to the COVID-19 pandemic—a testament to his resilience and unwavering commitment to community-focused media solutions.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. North remains actively engaged in both professional and community organizations. He has contributed to the American Marketing Association, the Interactive Advertising Bureau, and the Radio and Television Advertising Bureau, and has been featured on international B2B sales podcasts. Locally, he is involved with prominent networking groups such as sfBIG and The Battery Club in San Francisco. A lifelong learner, Mr. North continues to invest in his professional development, holding key certifications from Cambridge Judge Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management in organizational leadership and artificial intelligence in business strategy.

Mr. North earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in liberal arts and strategic communications from the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas.
