WATERFORD, CT, April 30, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John M. "Jack" Cunningham has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Cunningham, a seasoned professional with 41 years of experience, currently serves as the director of sales at Luxwall Inc. In this role, he leads sales initiatives for innovative vacuum-insulated glass technology and establishes partnerships with utilities to incentivize energy-efficient window projects. His expertise in energy conservation projects and real-time monitoring has been instrumental in his career, allowing him to make significant contributions to the field.
Mr. Cunningham gained valuable experience in several roles before joining Luxwall. From 2016 to 2024, he was the director of energy solutions sales and business development at Environmental Systems Co. His role as the director of sales at Seldera from 2014 to 2016 further established his reputation in the industry. In 2005, he joined Nxegen LLC as an account manager and remained in that position until being promoted to senior account manager and eventually director of sales. Prior to that appointment, he worked for Yellowbook, serving as an associate sales manager from 2001 to 2005. Mr. Cunningham began his career at SNET/AT&T, where he held various titles, including account executive, assistant sales manager and call center manager from 1984 to 2001.
Mr. Cunningham received an associate degree in business administration and management from Three Rivers Community College, formerly Mohegan Community College, in 1985.
Boasting a strong background in sales and sales management, Mr. Cunningham turned around two Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and successfully launched a product at Ameresco. His career is marked by his ability to help customers fund up to 70% of a project's total cost through energy savings, incentives and low-interest or interest-free loans. He has also helped clients take advantage of tax credits for energy efficiency, which can add up to as much as $5.00 per square foot of the total building.
Among Mr. Cunningham's most notable achievements is his involvement in a $3.2 million initiative at Mystic Aquarium, the second-largest aquarium in New England, known for educating students about marine life. This project gained national attention for its innovative use of the C-PACE program, which allowed the establishment to upgrade its air handling systems and install new rooftop units, LED lighting and solar panels without any upfront costs.
Mr. Cunningham attributes his success to his determination, drive and dedication. He often works late into the night, answering emails from home. Additionally, he considers himself a lifelong learner and strives not only to help customers but also to contribute to global improvement. Many businesses struggle with cash flow, and by helping them upgrade their buildings, he makes a positive difference. For example, he worked on a project with a Waterbury, Connecticut-based manufacturer that involved repairing and insulating steam traps. The company saw a return on this investment in only nine months. Moreover, Mr. Cunningham advised his client to extend their loan over seven years, which would enable them to earn an extra $60,000 per year. This financial relief allowed the company to hire two more employees, positively impacting their business.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Cunningham aims to promote a new window product that could change the industry. Projects involving windows are often avoided because strict codes reduce the opportunity for incentives. However, there are initiatives seeking to promote energy-efficient upgrades, such as a program in New York City that offers up to 50% off labor and material costs for window projects and even higher discounts for hospitals and low-income housing. Moving forward, Mr. Cunningham wants to establish similar programs in New England, where many buildings still have inefficient single-pane windows. By addressing these issues, he believes he can significantly improve energy efficiency and contribute to a better world.
