Among other noteworthy roles, Mr. Kepnang gained valuable experience as a mentor for AI engineers at Udacity in 2022, a product manager at Nexus 8 International LLC in 2020, and a research engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in 2020. He was also an application development analyst and network engineer at Fannie Mae between 2011 and 2012. His early career began as a software engineer at Roccomar Inc. in 2011.

Academically, Mr. Kepnang holds a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from Virginia Tech since 2010 and a Master of Science in computer science from Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals since 2020. He is a published author with research work in the field of AI, performed at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. His professional credentials are further bolstered by several certifications, including in generative artificial intelligence with large language models from Coursera and coding certifications from HackerRank and CodeSignal, as well as several others that have enhanced his technical proficiency.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Kepnang is actively involved in civic organizations. He volunteered with the National Urban League from 2014 to 2016 and served as an election officer for the City of Alexandria's electoral board from 2016 to 2024.
