Since 2023, he has served as the director of IT infrastructure at Summit Medical Group in Knoxville, Tennessee. Joining Summit Medical Group in 2021 as the IT infrastructure manager, he has been instrumental in modernizing the organization's network and data center to enhance patient outcomes. Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, Mr. Marion made significant contributions to the medical and IT industries at Provision Health Partners in Knoxville. From 2013 to 2021, he served as the IT technical services manager, having previously held the position of IT system engineer from 2012 to 2013. His longstanding tenure at Provision Health Partners is celebrated by his achievement in building an IT department from the ground up, allowing him the opportunity to choose every aspect of its foundation, from its vendors to Wi-Fi technology. As the first IT professional hired by the company's chief information officer, Mr. Marion played a crucial role in growing the company. To this end, he implemented change control, management and lifestyle processes; documented systems; and vetted vendors. Notably, Provision Health Partners now operates five cancer centers due, in part, to Mr. Marion's leadership.

Previously, Mr. Marion served as a network engineer at Saratoga Technologies in 2012 and as an information system engineer and analyst at Mountain States Health Alliance between 2004 and 2012, where he was recognized with the Five-Star Award for Customer Service. Earlier, he gained foundational experience as a technical account manager at Net-Choice from 2001 to 2004 and as a field service customer service engineer at Hewlett-Packard (HP) from 1997 to 2001. Reflecting on his first IT job with HP, Mr. Marion learned the intricacies of IT and customer service, establishing a strong foundation for his future success. He commenced his professional career as a sergeant in the United States Army between 1987 and 1992, where he was recognized as the Most Distinguished Graduate in 1987.

Highly educated, Mr. Marion earned an Associate of Science in computer science from Northeast State Community College in 2000. Additionally, he received a diploma in Biblical studies from Liberty University in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in divinity and ministry from the Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2021, graduating magna cum laude with highest distinction. Mr. Marion's diverse background has been complemented by certifications in such areas as cloud computing, project management and computer networking. He also holds a CompTIA Security+ certification and is recognized as a CompTIA IT operations specialist. In 2025, he received certification as a High-Impact IT Leader through Udemy.

Civically engaged in his community, Mr. Marion has served as the minister of education and discipleship at Clear Springs Baptist Church since 2014. Previously, he was a preacher at Haven of Rest Ministries between 2005 and 2012, a deacon and teacher at Liberty Baptist Church from 2002 to 2012, and a member of Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries.

Alongside his religious service, Mr. Marion's personal life is enriched by his love for outdoor activities, such as hiking, traveling and bike-riding, and the steadfast support of his wife and two children. He attributes much of his success to the opportunities he had throughout his career, his clear vision for the future, and his heartfelt commitment to helping others.
