His commitment to helping others navigate their financial futures is rooted in his military background, where he discovered a passion for mentoring and leadership. During his time in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. McKeen held several positions, including weapons flight chief from 2018 to 2021 and program manager, training instructor and aircraft maintenance unit assistant superintendent from 2017 to 2018. His military career began in 1995, and over the years, he honed his leadership skills as he progressed through various roles.

Mr. McKeen's military service is marked by significant achievements. He takes particular pride in positively impacting the careers of many individuals who grew into strong noncommissioned officers and leaders under his guidance. This experience laid the foundation for his transition into the financial sector, where he continues to mentor individuals of all ages in financial management. His dedication to service is further exemplified by his involvement with the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) as a senior mentor for AFSA Chapter 444 in Montgomery, Alabama. He is also a member of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.

Academically, Mr. McKeen holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Columbia Southern University, where he graduated cum laude in 2020. He also earned an Associate of Applied Science in aircraft armament systems technology from the Community College of the Air Force. These educational achievements have been instrumental in his success as a financial adviser. Additionally, Mr. McKeen has obtained several credentials, including a general life and health license from the Alabama Department of Insurance and Series 66, Series 7, and Security Industry Essentials certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Mr. McKeen attributes his success to his upbringing and early involvement in competitive swimming, which began at age six and earned his first national record at age 10. This experience instilled a strong drive to excel and a natural ability to lead and inspire others. His involvement is the Boy Scouts molded his values which have served him through his time in the military. His military service further enhanced these leadership skills, providing him with a deep understanding of selfless service.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. McKeen has received numerous awards for his contributions and excellence. These include recognition as the New Adviser of the Year and Fast Start of the Year, have enabled him to be in the Top 5% at First Command Financial Services Inc. His Air Force accolades include being honored as the Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, being recognized/awarded by the Secretary of the Air Force and the Chairman of the Joints Chief of Staff, and Meeting with Team USA basketball.

Outside of his career, Mr. McKeen enjoys an active lifestyle that includes playing volleyball and golf, going to the gym and scuba diving. Born in Tampa, he is a devoted husband and father to one son, two daughters and one stepson. Looking ahead, Mr. McKeen intends to remain on his current career path with aspirations to advance within First Command Financial Services, aiming for a district adviser position that will allow him to assist more clients and influence future generations through financial education and mentorship.
