This book, featuring 25 chapters of real-life stories about overcoming obstacles, showcases her ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and inspire millions. Throughout her career, Ms. Siefkas has sought to emphasize and empower human connections, a quality of investigative journalism that she has applied to all facets of her journey.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Siefkas held several significant roles, including as the vice president of marketing and public relations at Tralliance Corporation between 2007 and 2009 and similar positions at promising technology start-ups. Before entering the marketing industry, she was a high school Spanish teacher at West Bridgewater Public Schools and at Quincy Public Schools between 2001 and 2004.

Laying a strong foundation for Ms. Siefkas' diverse career was her academic background. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999, followed by a Master of Science in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2004. Her study abroad experience in Madrid further enriched her understanding of language and culture, which she has applied throughout her career.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Siefkas is actively involved in civic organizations such as the Nashville Women and Children Center Rescue Mission, where she volunteers to assist unhoused individuals. Throughout her career, Ms. Siefkas has been involved in numerous works as a speaker and author. She was a TEDx speaker at Broward College in 2018 and has authored several publications in addition to "Look Up: Global Stories of Resilience." These include "Cubicle to Cuba: Desk Job to Dream Job" in 2016, "With New Eyes" in 2015, and "When All Balls Drop: The Upside of Losing Everything" in 2014.
