Mr. Rydman is a seasoned expert in cybersecurity, currently serving as a senior practice manager at Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) in Salt Lake County, Utah. With two decades of experience in the field, he has established himself as a leader in cybersecurity, risk and compliance. His expertise is further recognized through his concurrent role as a senior practice leader for global strategic accounts at AWS since 2022. Additionally, he contributes to the Utah Aerospace and Defense Board of Governors and serves on the security committee of the Utah Food Bank.

Mr. Rydman's career trajectory includes significant roles at Fast, where he was the chief information security officer and vice president of cybersecurity from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, he held various positions at Silicon Valley Bank from 2007 to 2021, culminating in his role as divisional chief information security officer. During his tenure there, he is proud to have implemented a robust security program that ensured the institution never had a security breach during his tenure. His earlier career includes a supervisory position in support services at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics.

Throughout his career, Mr. Rydman has been featured in prominent publications, such as Forbes and Utah Business, discussing critical topics like infrastructure as code and developments in quantum and cloud computing. He is also an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the CyberEdBoard Community, Information Systems Audit and Control Association and International Information System Security Certification Consortium.

Mr. Rydman's academic background includes a Master of Science in information assurance from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Science in network and system administration from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in computer science from Salt Lake Community College. He also holds numerous certifications, including AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Information Security Manager and Certified Information Systems Security Professional, among others.

Mr. Rydman has also contributed to his industry through authoring insightful articles for Forbes one the topics of risk management, misinformation campaigns and social media's evolving threat landscape. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is dedicated to civic engagement as an information security committee member for the Utah Food Bank since 2018. Overall, he attributes both his personal and professional success to the guidance of his outstanding mentors and the support of his parents.

Outside his public life, Mr. Rydman enjoys spending time with his family, which includes two sons and one daughter. His personal interests include fly fishing, playing golf, watching movies and helping his children pursue their interests. He also plans to pursue a doctorate in cybersecurity and publish his work in the field.
