In 2012, Mr. Harrylal joined Kradius Ltd. as a senior GIS solutions engineer, remaining in that role until 2015. Concurrently, he also held the position of solutions engineer II at 3-GIS from 2012 to 2022. These roles further honed his skills in geospatial technology and prepared him for his current position at AWS.

Mr. Harrylal's most notable achievement is successfully managing a wide range of responsibilities as a "one-person team" at 3-GIS for 10 years. This experience allowed him to develop both breadth and depth of knowledge, positioning him for his current role. He continues to learn and grow, particularly in the sales domain, where he is gaining strategic experience. He is now focused on assisting larger organizations with long-term planning and simplifying complex GIS deployments for C-suite executives.

Mr. Harrylal earned a Master of Science in technology from the University of New York in 2004, a Bachelor of Science in management and technology from the University of Greenwich, and an associate degree in finance and management from the School of Business in Trinidad and Tobago. He also completed coursework in information technology at Caribbean Tech Trends in 2009. These academic achievements have been pivotal in his career success.

Mr. Harrylal completed several training programs through AWS to earn designations as a Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Database Specialist and Cloud Economics Accreditation Partner. Additionally, he holds credentials in certified ethical hacking and as a Microsoft Certified System Administrator. These credentials underscore his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Mr. Harrylal attributes his success to his family's support and his strong work ethic, which is inspired by his faith and mentors. Growing up on a small Caribbean island where technology arrived late, he learned to maximize limited resources. This environment fostered his curiosity and led him to acquire various skills, learning by trial and error as he repaired old radios and refurbished donated computers. He frequently steps into roles that fill a gap, which has enabled him to understand and improve organizational processes. His approach involves thorough process engineering and a constant quest for improvement.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Harrylal is actively involved in civic activities as a blood drive donor and volunteer for the Tennessee Valley Robotics Competition. In his leisure time, he enjoys camping and off-roading. Looking ahead, he aims to transition into a senior executive role, such as chief technology officer. He also plans to leverage his extensive experience to shape the future by nurturing new developers, guiding product development, setting industry standards and enhancing the integration of maps and location services into everyday life.
