Prior to his current position, Mr. Suvarna was the vice president of the New York branch of MUFG Bank from 2013 to 2022. During this time, he played a pivotal role in increasing the STP rate from 68% to 98%, earning him recognition within the bank. His innovative contributions led to his receipt of the Project Best award, which encouraged employees to propose ideas for operational improvements. Additionally, in 2023, he was honored with the MUFG Excellence Award for his achievements in technology development; diversity, equity and inclusion; and risk management.

Mr. Suvarna's career began as a technology support engineer at Wipro Infotech Ltd. in 2004 before transitioning to Citigroup Global Services Ltd., where he served as a team lead from 2005 to 2008. His journey continued at J.P. Morgan India as a quality assurance analyst from 2008 to 2011, followed by roles at Fundtech Corp. as a test lead and quality assurance analyst until 2012. Subsequently, he joined Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. as the associate vice president until 2014.

Mr. Suvarna's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Mumbai, which he completed in 2004. In accounting for his success, he credits his perseverance and an unexpected opportunity during India's information technology emergence that led him to software testing at Citibank India. This pivotal moment set the stage for his professional journey, and he remains grateful for the guidance that shaped his career trajectory.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Suvarna is actively involved in civic-minded organizations. He serves as a committee member for the Clearing House Interbank Payments System and volunteers in various community initiatives, including food packaging efforts in New Jersey and assembling hygiene kits for women's essential needs in Los Angeles.

In his personal life, Mr. Suvarna enjoys traveling with his family and engaging in sports such as pickleball and cricket. He actively supports his sons' cricket training, making sports a shared family passion.
