Ms. Fierro is adept at introducing potential donors to the organization, securing gifts to support its mission, and writing proposals. Her commitment extends beyond her primary responsibilities as she actively participates in fundraising events for other organizations.

Before her work at KIPP, Ms. Fierro was the director of development at LEARN Charter School Network from 2022 to 2025. Her tenure there was characterized by her ability to secure large federal and state grants and cultivate strong relationships, helping sustain the Chicago nonprofit's national recognition as high-performing college preparatory elementary public charter schools. Between 2019 and 2022, Ms. Fierro held a similar role at Erie Elementary Charter School in Chicago, where she honed her skills in development and fundraising.

Ms. Fierro's career also included international development work in Mexico City where she held the role of senior grants manager and coordinator at Equidad de Género, Ciudadanía, Trabajo y Familia, from 2018 to 2019. Her earlier roles included serving as a research associate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2017 and 2018 and as a monitoring and evaluation consultant with Tetra Tech Inc. for a USAID project in 2017. Ms. Fierro's career dates back to 2014, when she first became involved in fundraising, project management and accounting at The BOSO Foundation Inc.

Beginning her academic journey with an Associate of Arts in Spanish and liberal studies from Santa Barbara City College in 2012, Ms. Fierro then earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and global studies from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2015. She continued her education with a Master of Arts in international relations and affairs from the University of California San Diego in 2017. Ms. Fierro also completed masters level coursework in business administration at Northwestern University's Kellog School of Management in 2020.

Ms. Fierro holds several certifications that have contributed to her professional success, including an advanced impact evaluation certification from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, she has earned certificates in entrepreneurship, Excel proficiency, policy design and evaluation, and quantitative analysis from the University of California, San Diego.

Apart from her work-related endeavors, Ms. Fierro enjoyed a notable volunteer position with the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation from 2019 to 2020. Eager about the future, she remains passionate about establishing a strong public education system for under-resourced communities in South Florida. Ms. Fierro's goals include connecting philanthropists with meaningful causes and emphasizing the importance of investing in public education nationally. Furthermore, she plans to join a local board in Broward County or Miami-Dade County to further contribute to community development efforts.
