She currently excels as a Vice President at PNC Financial Services Group where she collaborates to develop and manage risk-based audit plans and oversees IT Infrastructure audits. Her role involves monitoring key risk indicators and establishing relationships with management, and she leverages great skill when articulating complex issues to senior stakeholders. Before joining PNC Financial Services Group in 2024, Ms. Wrancher thrived as a senior lead audit manager at Wells Fargo in Charlotte from 2020 to 2023. In this capacity, she led audit teams and collaborated with colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of control environments and governance processes. She also served as a Business Resiliency Officer ensuring there were business continuity plans for 1700 internal auditors in twelve countries to respond to adverse events and natural disasters. Ms. Wrancher's advanced expertise in managing risk and strategic planning acumen proved pivotal in effectively presenting substantial amounts of data, presenting recommendations to correct deficiencies and promoting a continuous improvement culture.
Ms. Wrancher is a proud military veteran with a record of honorable service in the U.S. Army, which was initiated as a paralegal in the 82nd Airborne Division, where she excelled as an enlisted soldier in 1990. She was selected to attend Officer Candidate School in 1993. Upon graduation, the then young Sergeant was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer. During her career, she held a series of positions of increased responsibility and geographical scale. She progressed as a supply platoon leader and rigger platoon leader in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Ms. Wrancher then served as a company commander in the 1st Infantry Division at Grafenwoehr, Germany and Kosovo supporting Operation Joint Guardian, a human resources manager at Schwentzingen, Germany, a Training with Industry Fellow with the Logistics Management Institute at McLean, Virgina and also as a joint staff intern at Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Ms. Wrancher continued to excel serving as a battalion support operations officer and the executive officer of an 800+ personnel organization at Daegu, South Korea in 2007 and 2008 respectively and then the regional operations executive for the Defense Logistics Agency's Central Command Disposition Services in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom from 2009 to 2011. More recently, she served as the Chief of the Assistance Division (Director of Operations) for the largest division in the U.S. Army Inspector General Agency at the Pentagon from 2018 to 2020, and she excelled as the Branch Chief (Operations Manager) for Preliminary Investigations of Senior Officials and General/Flag Officers at the Pentagon from 2016 to 2018. Her extensive military career includes experience in roles such as the inaugural Command Inspector General (Chief Compliance Officer) for Operation Inherent Resolve supporting an 8400+ personnel international joint task force in Kuwait and Iraq from 2015 to 2016 and the first female Chief of Staff (Managing Director) in the Office of the Quartermaster General at Fort Lee, Virginia, from 2013 to 2015. Ms. Wrancher's leadership and managerial skills were further honed as the first battalion commander (Logistics Executive) of the Division Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas when the unit returned from Germany to the United States after 40 years, from 2011 to 2013.
The pursuit of academic excellence drove Ms. Wrancher to complete a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from Methodist University in 1995. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Arts in human resources management and services from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 before finishing a second graduate degree. She now holds a Master of Science in military and strategic leadership from the Marine Corps University, which she finished in 2005, and Ms. Wrancher relies on this robust training as a solid foundation for her advancement in the military and now in the corporate and banking sector.
Professional credentials further define Ms. Wrancher's profile, and she proudly holds a green belt certification in Lean Six Sigma Management from the Lean Six Sigma Institute, which she secured in 2020. She attributes her advancement thus far to her mother's example of hard work and dedication, as well as a strong focus on the importance of education; additionally, Ms. Wrancher consistently develops both short-term and long-term strategic objectives through deliberate critical thinking with an emphasis on helping others and supporting PNC's future focus areas.
A passion for civic service drives Ms. Wrancher to seek opportunities for community engagement. She has served as the Vice Chair of Public Policy and Advocacy for the Junior League of Charlotte since 2024, aiming to establish a State Public Affairs Committee focused on education about advocacy across North Carolina. Previously, she was the Vice President of Communications for The Rocks, Incorporated from 2016 to 2022, and Ms. Wrancher has held leadership roles within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, an international service organization.
Outside her professional life, Ms. Wrancher is a dedicated mother to one son, a daughter-in-love, four grandchildren and she remains committed to making a positive impact on her community through her involvement with the Military Officers Association of America, Junior League of Charlotte and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Looking toward the future, Ms. Wrancher plans to encourage Junior League local chapters across the state of North Carolina to advocate more comprehensively for better health care, better mental health care for children and education through nonpartisan efforts.
