Following this, Dr. Faust pursued her graduate studies at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, where she obtained both a master's degree and a PhD in counseling psychology by 1974.

Her commitment to mental health extends beyond her clinical work, having served on the board of directors for both Temporary Assistance for Domestic Crises and the Rape Crisis Center. Dr. Faust's involvement with the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority further highlights her commitment to community engagement.
