MARINA DEL REY, CA, May 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Faith Bautista has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Bautista is a distinguished leader in community organizing and has served as the president and chief executive officer of the National Diversity Coalition since 2004. Her work has been instrumental in advocating for low-income communities, focusing on homeownership, access to capital, digital broadband, economic empowerment and corporate responsibility. Under Ms. Bautista's leadership, the organization has become a formidable force in intervening in mergers and acquisitions and influencing rate increases with the California Public Utilities Commission.
As the head of the National Diversity Coalition, Ms. Bautista oversees all aspects of the organization, including programs, staff, outcomes and finances, leading a team of full-time employees, part-time staff and independent contractors. She also directs marketing and outreach initiatives that raise awareness and provide support for small businesses, homeowners, immigrants, senior citizens, students and other underserved communities.
In addition to her role at the National Diversity Coalition, Ms. Bautista founded ChimeTV in Los Angeles, where she served as chief executive officer between 2021 and 2023. She also led the National Asian American Coalition (NAAC) as the president and chief executive officer from 2004 to 2022. Her tenure at NAAC was marked by significant achievements, including obtaining certifications from CDFI, SBA and HUD to serve minority and low-income populations. Under Ms. Bautista's guidance, the organization was recognized as Nonprofit of the Year in 2021. During her tenure as the president and CEO of the NAAC she played a pivotal role in the legal battle to ensure that California's share of the National Mortgage Settlement funds were used appropriately to assist homeowners affected by the foreclosure crisis.
In 2014, Ms. Bautista, along with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and the COR Community Development Corporation, filed a lawsuit against then-Governor Jerry Brown and state officials. They contended that $331 million from the settlement had been improperly diverted to balance the state budget, rather than being allocated to homeowner assistance programs as intended. The court ruled in their favor, but the state attempted to circumvent this decision through legislation. After a prolonged legal battle, the California Supreme Court upheld the original ruling, mandating the return of the funds to homeowner assistance programs.
Ms. Bautista's career began with a 20-year tenure as the president and owner of San Diego Advertising Specialties, followed by a position as a software administrator for Hewlett-Packard Corporation. Her expertise extends beyond her primary roles; she has served as an advisory board member for Mechanics Bank and co-chair for the PG&E Community Advisory Council. Ms. Bautista's involvement with various industry-related organizations includes current positions with the Council of Filipino American Chamber of Commerce and previous roles with the Federal Communications Commission Consumer Advisory Committee, Charter Communication EDIC Advisory Board, and T-Mobile California Advisory Board.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Bautista earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on marketing from the Philippine School of Business Administration in Manila in 1981. She furthered her education at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business in Seattle, graduating in 2020. Ms. Bautista also completed Harvard Divinity School's Summer Leadership program and the Management Development for Entrepreneurs program at the University of California, Los Angeles, among others.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Bautista extends her impact through her role as a presidential appointee to the United States Department of the Treasury and as a member of the Federal Communications Commission Community Advisory Council. She has received numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the Most Influential Women in the United States by the Filipino Women's Network. Ms. Bautista's honors also include the Big Heart Award from The Greenlining Institute and Advocate of the Year awards from the Council for Supplier Diversity.
Outside her professional endeavors, Ms. Bautista is committed to personal wellness through walking 15,000 steps a day, six days a week. Building on her lifelong dedication to underserved communities and her leadership in economic empowerment initiatives, she envisions reaching at least 8,500 students through engaging storytelling and hands-on financial education. Ms. Bautista's ultimate goal is to inspire a nationwide movement — one that integrates financial literacy as a core component of every school curriculum, ensuring that all young people are equipped to make informed, confident decisions about their financial futures.
