Prior to stepping into her current position, Ms. Russell served as a crop protection sales representative at Syngenta between 2016 and 2021. During that time, she honed her skills in relationship-building and cross-cultural communication, which have been instrumental in her success.

Before contributing as a crop protection sales representative, Ms. Russell worked as a developmental sales representative, a trainee role, for a brief period in 2016, following her role as a sales intern from 2015 to 2016 when she first joined the company. Leading up to her time at Syngenta, she gained experience through internships at ADM as a merchandising intern in 2014 and AgriGold in 2013. These early experiences laid the foundation for her expertise in leadership, facilitation and relationship building, among other skills. Along with her hands-on experience in the field, Ms. Russell's academic background has played a significant role in her professional achievements.

In 2016, Ms. Russell earned a Master of Science in agricultural economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale after receiving a Bachelor of Science in agriculture economics with a focus on plant and soil science from the same institution the year prior. Through her studies, she gained a strong foundation in fact-based analysis and hard work, which she attributes to her success and has leveraged in each role she has held. As an involved professional in her field, Ms. Russell is actively involved in several industry-related organizations as well as those connected to her alma mater.

Along with being an alumni member of the National FFA Organization, Ms. Russell holds membership with Illinois Agri-Women, the St. Louis AgriBusiness Club, Sigma Alpha and the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Alumni Association. Her commitment to civic engagement extends beyond these affiliations as she contributes to Meals from the Heartland and the Ronald McDonald House. Moreover, she has served as a keynote speaker for many events, including Women Changing the Face of Agriculture.

For her contributions, Ms. Russell obtained many degrees of membership throughout her FFA career, various academic awards throughout her college career and most recently earned recognition as one of Cowgirl Magazine's 30 Under 30 in 2025. Together, these accolades reflect her dedication to advancing the agricultural industry and supporting future generations.

Looking ahead, Ms. Russell plans to continue sharing the story of agriculture while nurturing the next generation, who will contribute to the world's well-being. She also aims to focus on personal growth by embracing challenges.
