Before this role, he was a senior systems administrator from 2018 to 2019 and a systems administrator from 2017 to 2018. This foundational experience laid the groundwork for his subsequent achievements in system administration and site reliability engineering.

Mr. Akula's extensive academic background includes postgraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in data science, business analytics, and artificial intelligence and machine learning for business applications, completed in 2024. In 2016, he received a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Tennessee Technological University, where he also served as a graduate research and teaching assistant. During his time there, he collaborated with Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud on research projects focused on smart grid technologies and Internet of Things (IoT) innovations.

Mr. Akula began his academic journey at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, graduating with a Bachelor of Technology in electrical, electronics and communications engineering in 2012. During his undergraduate studies, he worked with his peers to launch the college's first robotics organization, successfully coordinating a two-day workshop by inviting a team to lead the sessions.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Akula was recently named a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), reflecting his commitment to staying abreast of industry advancements. He holds several certifications that have bolstered his technical expertise, including Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) credentials obtained in 2012. Mr. Akula's contributions extend beyond his professional endeavors into civic engagement and academic publications. He has been an event organizer for Technophilia Systems Pvt. Ltd since 2010 and has made anonymous donations to various charitable organizations supporting underprivileged communities in India.
