Mr. Heim, managing owner of Heim Custom Homes, has established a notable career in the construction industry. Before founding his company in 2023, he spent nearly a decade as the managing owner and home builder at Handmade Homes, where he honed his skills and expanded his expertise in home building. Prior to this role, he served from 2001 to 2014 as a construction manager at Homes by Taber. His tenure there allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of the construction process and project management.

Known for a laser focus on quality and innovation, Mr. Heim is particularly proud of his creation of a unique replica of the Castle House, originally built in 1873 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Mr. Heim's version, completed in 2022 in Edmond, Oklahoma, was showcased in the fall parade of homes, drawing an impressive average of 2,500 visitors over two weekends.

Mr. Heim's career began with his service in the United States Marine Corps, where he worked on F-18 avionics systems for four years. This experience instilled in him discipline and technical skills that would later benefit his construction career. After leaving the military, he transitioned to Aura Industries as a plant manager; although this role was not a long-term fit for him, it was particularly impactful in his career development as it inspired him to begin working construction jobs at night with a fellow Marine. His journey continued at Hetronic USA, where he serviced remote control systems. The success of these projects eventually led him to collaborate with a local builder, significantly scaling their operations over 13 years. However, realizing the need for a more personal approach to business, he decided to start his own home-building company.

Mr. Heim attributes much of his success to the values instilled by his parents during his upbringing in Cascade, Iowa. Growing up with limited resources, he learned the importance of hard work and determination early on through various jobs and experiences. These formative years shaped his drive and ambition to achieve what he once could not have.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Heim enjoys riding motorcycles, traveling, and horseback riding. He is committed to maintaining strong relationships with his team and customers by prioritizing quality over volume in his business endeavors. With approximately 85% of his trade partners having worked with him for over 15 years, Mr. Heim aims to sustain this close-knit atmosphere while gradually expanding his operations.

Looking ahead, Mr. Heim aspires to grow his business to 15 luxury builds a year and when he can do this consistently, he envisions expanding his team and increasing the number of luxury homes he builds per year while preserving the integrity and personal touch that define his business approach.
