In 2013, Ms. Torres acquired ABI Chassis Pool Inc., an equipment leasing company managing a fleet of over 200 chassis and trucks. This venture supports drivers who wish to work with her trucking company but lack their own vehicles. In 2022, Ms. Torres assumed the role of president at Miami Trucking Inc., a truck brokerage that facilitates container transport for various clients. Both companies have grown exponentially under her leadership, reaching multi-million dollar performance in recent years.

Ms. Torres' foray into real estate began in 2017 when she began investing in properties. Five years later, she and her husband established a property management company, JE Empire Estates Inc. The two focus on the residential market, acquiring multi-family properties, such as duplexes and fourplexes, and single-unit apartments. They work with various realtors to list properties, promoting and marketing them to find suitable tenants. In addition to offering standard housing, they collaborate with Section 8 Housing and other initiatives to provide affordable housing options to those in need. Once a property is listed, Ms. Torres and her husband manage it directly, addressing tenant concerns, collecting payments on time and ensuring maintenance is performed as needed.

In addition to these ventures, Ms. Torres is also the founder of The Estates Collection, a high-ticket e-commerce brand specializing in high-end home products such as mini-fridges, espresso machines, wine dispensers and other luxury kitchen appliances.

Ms. Torres' advocacy work is deeply personal, stemming from her family's experiences with disabilities. As an Epilepsy Advocacy Champion with the Epilepsy Foundation since 2023, Ms. Torres has lobbied for special education reform in Washington, D.C., and collaborated with schools to improve policies for students with disabilities. She has completed training in special education law and advocacy, and her dedication to this cause is evident in her volunteer work assisting parents in navigating Individualized Education Plan meetings.

She is also writing a second book exploring the unspoken guilt and emotional burden many women carry—especially entrepreneurs—around silencing their inner child and inner adult. The book examines how this suppression affects decision-making and emotional well-being and discusses the pressure high-achieving women feel to keep going without ever truly validating their personal struggles. It delves into the sacrifices required to pursue success and the cost of not acknowledging our emotional selves.

Ms. Torres' passion for writing extends to launching a blog and creating a course on property management and real estate investing. She is actively building a social media presence dedicated to empowering women and men alike to build wealth, develop entrepreneurial skills and gain financial freedom. Ms. Torres is currently developing a digital course focused on developing a healthy financial mindset.
