Writing System, a methodology that has influenced many in the literary community.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Reid served as the senior director of programs at New Hope Housing Inc. from 2012 to 2017. In this capacity, he was instrumental in developing and implementing programs aimed at providing housing solutions for those in need. He further honed his leadership skills during his tenure as the director of the Virginia Serious and Violent Offender Reentry program at OAR from 2010 until 2012, during which time he focused on reentry initiatives for returning citizens exiting incarceration.

Beyond his primary endeavors, Dr. Reid's professional journey has spanned the globe and also includes roles such as the human services program management manager for Prince William County in Virginia between 2020 and 2022 and the executive director and CEO of Transitional Housing BARN from 2017 to 2018. These positions allowed him to expand his impact on community development and support services.

Playing a crucial role in Dr. Reid's accomplishments was his academic background. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Winston-Salem State University in 1999, he acquired a Bachelor of Theology from Life Christian University. Subsequently, he earned a Master of Theology from Life Christian University in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian counseling from Clarity International Christian University in 2013. In 2022, Dr. Reid acquired a Bachelor's of Science in Christian counseling from Life Christian University.

Outside his professional life, Dr. Reid's commitment to making a positive difference is evident through his philanthropic involvement with civic-minded organizations such as the Agape Orphanage, IT TAKES TWO, INC, and He Men Movement. He has been recognized with several awards, including the Black Men Rock Image Award from the NAACP in 2016 and 2017, as well as the IALA Distinguished Excellence Award in 2016.

Throughout his career, Dr. Reid has published over 50 books. His most notable literary contributions are co-authoring "Words from the Low Place" in 2013, as well as authoring "ManHandled" and "Don't Press Fast Forward" in 2011.

Reflecting on his path, Dr. Reid attributes much of his success to his experiences with brokenness, which, rather than holding him back, have motivated him to make a positive difference.
