He attributes his success to the values instilled in him by his family, particularly his father, who enlisted right out of high school into the army before WWII where he became a sergeant pilot and ultimately a captain before becoming disabled in the early 1950's, as well as his mother, who excelled as a nurse. Mr. Davis also cherishes time spent on his grandmother's ranch as a child, which taught him the importance of community and prompted a deep respect for seniors. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Davis has regularly sought opportunities for civic engagement.
