Ms. Carmona initiated her education in her home country of Puerto Rico, where she completed high school before moving to Texas to explore rich academic opportunities. She became the first in her family to complete a college degree after earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with minors in Spanish and physics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her undergraduate experience as a research assistant ignited a fascination with how energy is created, which prompted her future exploration in semiconductors; additionally, Ms. Carmona has pursued coursework toward the completion of a graduate degree.

A passion for continuous learning has led Ms. Carmona to secure a range of industry credentials. She is scrum master certified by Scaled Agile Inc. and holds the medical ISO 13485 lead auditor designation from Oriel Stat A Matrix Auditing Services LLC. Ms. Carmona also earned the Lean Six Sigma combo green belt and black belt certification, the ISO 9001 lead auditor quality certification from SAI Global, and she is a certified external auditor.

Ms. Carmona counts helping people grow and recognize their potential as the highlight of her career thus far, and she thrives on watching her team flourish. She also actively pursues opportunities for civic engagement and is affiliated with High-Tech High Heels, where she served on the board of directors and audit committee from 2021 to 2024.
