She remains active in the legal community as a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Orange County Bar Association.

Civically engaged, Ms. Holmes is the co-founder of the Roaring Forward Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships and educational opportunities to teens in Orange County, Florida.
