Most recently, she served as the senior vice president of global partner marketing at Dell Technologies from 2016 to 2024 where she was responsible for branding, partner program marketing, channel events, partner communications, and marketing development fund program investments and execution, as well as driving long-term partner marketing strategy, together with Global Alliances, OEM, and global and regional business teams.. Her tenure at Dell began in 2011, where she initially held the position of vice president of enterprise solutions, where she was responsible for the go-to-market strategy and execution for Dell storage, server, networking and related software businesses until 2013. She then advanced to vice president of global channels and alliances from 2013 to 2016, leading channel strategy for the company worldwide.
Before joining Dell in 2011, Ms. Cook was senior vice president at Nuance Communications managing sales across all lines of business. Her career also includes 12 years at Sun Microsystems, where she held a number of sales leadership positions, including senior vice president of global accounts and industries. She began her career in 1985 as the director of sales at NCR Corporation, where she remained until 1998. Throughout these roles, Ms. Cook has demonstrated an exceptional ability to lead and innovate within the technology industry.
Ms. Cook is actively involved in various industry-related organizations. She is a member of the Channel Focus Channel Executive Council and is a contributor to Fortune Magazine's 50 Most Powerful Women's community. She has served on the board of advisors for Avnir since 2024 and the board of directors for ARC Document Solutions Inc. from 2018 to 2024.
Ms. Cook's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Florida, earned in 1985. Her academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her career, providing a strong foundation for her success in technology and leadership roles. In 2019, she was also listed among Channel Partners' Top Gun 51. Finally, she received one of the very first lifetime achievement awards from Channenomics in 2024.
Ms. Cook enjoys traveling, engaging in board work, public speaking and hosting podcasts—activities that reflect her dynamic personality and passion for sharing knowledge. She advocates for developing curricula focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and the involvement of women in STEM fields, offering a unique perspective on the needs of the commercial industry when it comes to recruiting young talent. By collaborating with the University of Florida, she helps shape the curriculum to align with emerging trends, ensuring that students graduate with top-tier skills.
Ms. Cook is a proud mother of two grown sons, aged 33 and 30, both of whom are doing well. A self-proclaimed "daddy's girl," she takes great pride in her father, who is approaching 89 years old. He was an Apollo space program engineer and contributed to the moon landing. His influence played a significant role in Ms. Cook's pursuit of a career in technology.
