SHERIDAN, WY, May 22, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie Nicks Irvine, LPC, NCC, C-TSS, DQCS, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Nicks Irvine has established herself as a dedicated clinical mental health counselor, having served at Hidden Bridges LLC since 2019. In her role, she provides individual counseling sessions to a diverse clientele ranging from ages three to seventy-two. Her expertise lies in trauma therapy and somatization, helping clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. She also coordinates care with other professionals, offers resources to parents and communicates with courts when necessary. Her commitment to mental health is further demonstrated by her involvement in industry-related organizations, such as the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, the Play Therapy Association and the Wyoming Counseling Association, among others.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Nicks Irvine helped lead the Scope program in Wyoming for twelve years. This initiative was instrumental in helping students who had dropped out of school earn their high school equivalency while gaining essential job and life skills. During this time, she also provided mindfulness training to at-risk youth.
Ms. Nicks Irvine's career journey began with her role as a substitute teacher, where she built community relationships that later facilitated the establishment of her practice in 2020. Her entrepreneurial spirit and belief in self-imposed barriers have driven her to create a thriving business from the ground up. Additionally, she has served as a state volleyball official since 2009, earning recognition as Volleyball Official of the Year in 2014.
Academically, Ms. Nicks Irvine earned a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University in 2020, despite the challenges of that year marked by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and another in sociology from the University of Wyoming, obtained in 1988, and has completed the Trauma Research Foundation Certification under Bessel Van der Kolk and other trauma experts.
Ms. Nicks Irvine initially chose to pursue a path in clinical mental health due to her interest in understanding personality and psychotic disorders. She completed two residencies in Jacksonville, Florida, and places strong value on hands-on experience as a key component of her education. Overall, she attributes much of her success to her drive, ambition and the support of those around her.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Nicks Irvine is actively involved in civic associations, such as CHAPS which supports clients from diverse backgrounds, which supports mothers without nearby family or friends. Her personal life is also enriched by her love for hiking in the mountains and visiting the ocean, as well as meditating and continuing professional education.
In the upcoming years, Ms. Nicks Irvine aims to expand her practice by opening additional locations to reach more clients despite licensing challenges that restrict cross-state telehealth services. She remains committed to working in her field for as long as her mind remains healthy and functioning, finding fulfillment in helping others on their journeys. She takes pride in the fact that her past experiences and resilience serve as an inspiration to both her clients and children, demonstrating that it is never too late to set and achieve one's goals.
