Prior to his current position, Mr. Cononetz held several key roles at Microsoft, including principal hardware engineering program manager from 2020 to 2022 and principal group program manager from 2019 to 2020. His tenure at Microsoft began in 2010 as a principal program manager.

Before joining Microsoft, Mr. Cononetz was a senior PLM consultant at Dassault Systemes from 2009 to 2010. He also served as an information technology manager at Physio-Control Inc. from 1997 to 2009, where he honed his skills in managing complex IT systems. Earlier in his career, he was a customer consultant supervisor at ConsenSys Software Corporation from 1996 to 1997 and an information technology manager at Eaton from 1988 to 1995.

In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Cononetz owns KBS Designs Inc., a business focused on home designs and remodeling projects, established in 1986. His passion for design is evident in his diverse portfolio, which ranges from multi-million dollar homes to more minor remodels. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute Inc., reflecting his commitment to professional development.

Mr. Cononetz received a Bachelor of Science in business management with honors from the University of Phoenix in 2008. He holds several certifications, including a SAFe 4 Certified Product Owner/Product Manager designation from Scaled Agile Inc. and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute Inc.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Cononetz is actively involved in civic organizations such as City of Hope Galas and Microsoft's Day of Giving. His contributions have been recognized with accolades like the Star of Excellence Award from Medtronic, which he received in 2002. He has co-authored publications, including "Microsoft Flexes its Agile Muscles" and "Harnessing the Power of Agile Development" in 2016.

Mr. Cononetz's most notable achievement was implementing multiple enterprise systems, with his most significant contribution being at Microsoft. Tasked with addressing the challenge of consolidating and migrating five major design and product lifecycle management platforms following the company's acquisition of various businesses, he successfully led the development of a unified system. This platform became the standard framework for all Microsoft divisions, including Xbox, Cloud, Windows and Devices. His work gained recognition all the way up to the then-CEO Steve Ballmer, marking a significant accomplishment in his career.

Born in Trenton, Mr. Cononetz enjoys home design and remodeling as a personal interest. He is dedicated to consulting and finding ways to give back, particularly through mentoring future generations by working with interns at Microsoft and forming teams of early-career professionals.
