Prior to his current position, Mr. Mistry served as the director of design technology at Mohawk Group from 2016 to 2022. During this time, he honed his skills in carpet product simulations, achieving a level of expertise that has been widely recognized in the industry. Before joining Mohawk Group, he was the visualization director and visualization manager at John Portman & Associates.

Mr. Mistry's career began with roles that laid a strong foundation for his future achievements. In 2010 to 2011, he headed the visualization department at Architect Hafeez Contractor, where he managed projects that required intricate design solutions. His earlier experiences include working as a graphic designer at Application Development Resources Inc. and as an assistant level designer on contract with GamesThatWork. His journey into the field started with positions such as intern architect and architectural illustrator at Niles Bolton Associates and CAD operator at Dheya Tawfiqi Engineering Consultancy Bureau.

Mr. Mistry's academic background has significantly contributed to his professional success. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in interactive design and game development from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2003 and a Bachelor of Architecture from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in 2002. Additionally, he holds an Autodesk 3ds Max Certified Professional certification obtained in 2012. It is this very rare combination of qualifications that makes him unique and desired for a variety of roles across multiple disciplines.

Mr. Mistry values the influence of his family background on his career path. Growing up in Bahrain with parents who encouraged him to explore various career paths, he discovered his passion for design early on. Inspired by an admired architect during his childhood, Mr. Mistry pursued architecture before shifting focus to game design and eventually excelling in design visualization within the architecture and interiors field.

Throughout his career, Mr. Mistry has achieved several notable accomplishments. He developed a personal studio tool for product personalization that garnered over 4,000 registered users and is currently working on enhancing it for its second version. His work has been recognized with features on the cover of NEWH magazine in 2020 and a patent for systems and methods for item characteristic simulation in 2018. Furthermore, he has received accolades such as being featured in Adobe Behance's Fresco category in 2021 and Toy Design category in 2013.

Looking ahead, Mr. Mistry aspires to rise within his field, aiming to become a senior creative director or perhaps a vice president of creative at a notable organization. Personally, he is motivated to give back to his alma maters and community by mentoring individuals who have faced challenges similar to his own.
