GEORGETOWN, TX, May 28, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sarah Ann Weaver, LPC, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Weaver, a licensed professional counselor and owner of 11;11 Therapy and Consulting, has dedicated her career to supporting at-risk youth. Since founding her practice in 2025,she has conducted 15 virtual sessions weekly, primarily working with teenagers aged 13 to 19 who struggle with suicidal ideation, homicidal thoughts and substance abuse. Her practice often receives referrals from the detention center and the group practice where she previously worked. Her firm's name, 11:11 Therapy and Consulting, is named for a significant date — November 11, 2011 — when her daughter's father was in a serious car accident. She and her daughter have since reclaimed 11/11 as a symbol of healing and strength.

In addition to running her own practice, Ms. Weaver served as a therapist at Meridell Achievement Center from 2024 to 2025. Her role there involved working closely with adolescents in a residential treatment setting, further honing her skills in addressing complex mental health issues. For the preceding year, she was a clinical therapist at Family Care Center where she provided therapeutic services to families and individuals. Her experience as a mental health counselor at Impact Counseling Services from 2021 to 2023 solidified her commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.

Ms. Weaver's journey into the field of mental health began with her role as a prevention coordinator at the Texas Council on Family Violence in Austin from 2018 to 2021. During this time, she developed programs aimed at preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors. Her earlier experience includes serving concurrently as a counselor intern at Williamson County Juvenile Services from 2020 to 2021, where she discovered her passion and love for supporting struggling teens. She also contributed as a prevention specialist at Hope Alliance from 2017 to 2018 and as a peer educator with EngenderHealth in Austin the preceding year.

Ms. Weaver's path to becoming a therapist was shaped by personal challenges and a commitment to support underserved youth. After being diagnosed with an eating disorder and depression at 15 and feeling minimized by therapists, she set out to become the kind of professional she needed at that age.

At the age of 19, Ms. Weaver became a single mother following an abusive relationship, putting her education on hold. She later enrolled in community college and worked her way through school while raising her daughter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began her internship at a juvenile detention center, where she discovered the genuine need youth have for mental health support. She remained in that setting for three years, including time as a school counselor and taught sexual assault and domestic violence prevention to students.

Educationally, Ms. Weaver earned a master's degree in clinical counseling from Texas State University in 2021 and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the same institution in 2015. She attributes much of her success to the support of The Terry Foundation, which provided her with a full scholarship for her schooling, as well as the encouragement of her family and therapists throughout her educational journey.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Weaver is actively involved in civic work. She hopes to partner with and support Reset Mentoring and The Georgetown Project and served as a volunteer coordinator for the Youth Advisory Council in 2016. Her commitment to mental health advocacy extends to her role as an online monitor for the National Eating Disorders Association from 2015 to 2016.

Ms. Weaver has also contributed to public discourse on mental health through various projects. She hosts the podcast "Say Nothing: Adolescence and Mental Health," which began in 2025, providing insights into adolescent mental health issues. Additionally, she created to the podcast "Down the Rabbit Hole: Violence Prevention" from 2020 to 2021 with the support of the Texas Council on Family Violence.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Weaver enjoys working out, running, hiking and playing video games with her children. In the upcoming years, she intends to find a house that can be converted into a center offering life skills classes, financial education, therapy sessions and more, seeking to continue her mission to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in her community.
