Ms. Gonzalez's journey with Accompany Health began as a VBC coder, a role she upheld between 2023 and 2024, contributing to the establishment of efficient processes that have had a lasting impact on documentation quality and patient care.

Before joining Accompany Health, Ms. Gonzalez honed her skills as a coding coordinator at Bright Health, headquartered in Minnesota, from 2022 to 2023. Her responsibilities included coordinating coding activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and aligning with industry standards. Between 2016 and 2022, Ms. Gonzalez was a risk adjustment coder at Tabula Rasa HealthCare, a health care technology company based in New Jersey, where she gained valuable experience in the field. Her career began at Excela Health, where she worked as an orthopedic/neurologic surgical coder from 2013 to 2016. This foundational role provided her with extensive knowledge in surgical coding and set the stage for her future success.

Ms. Gonzalez's academic achievements include an associate's degree in specialty business with a focus on medical coding and billing from the Career Training Academy in Pittsburgh, graduating in 2013. She holds credentials as a certified professional coder and certified risk adjustment coder from the American Academy of Professional Coders. These credentials have been instrumental in Ms. Gonzalez's career progression and success.

Beyond her formal education, Ms. Gonzalez has been an active member of the American Academy of Professional Coders since 2013, further enriching her professional development. She has also been active civically by volunteering with Samaritan's Purse since 2011, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement.
