He was the chief operating officer at Distributed Energy Management from 2015 to 2016 and at Kombi Corp from 2011 to 2016. His experience includes serving as director of enterprise operations at Providence Health & Services from 2009 to 2011 and senior vice president of technology infrastructure operations at Washington Mutual Bank/JPMorgan Chase from 2003 to 2009. He began his career in technology as a senior systems manager at Avenue A and later as director of site operations at Metromedia Fiber Network.

Mr. Allan holds a Master of Business Administration focused on sustainable business and renewable energy management from Presidio Graduate School. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from City University of Seattle in 1991 and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1980. His academic background is complemented by certifications, such as a Green Belt in Six Sigma from Villanova University obtained in 2006. He is licensed across 25 states.

His career began in information technology during the early days of microcomputing at Boeing Computer Services, leading him through various roles that eventually brought him into financial services.
