Prior to founding GPA Olympia, Ms. Gombosky honed her skills as a legislative assistant in government affairs at Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America from 2005 to 2008, during which time she gained valuable experience in policy advocacy and legislative strategy, which laid the foundation for her subsequent success as a consultant. Before entering the world of political consulting, she spent several years as an English teacher and debate coach at Mead School District from 1994 until 2001. This early career experience not only equipped her with strong communication skills but also infused in her a passion for education and public service.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Gombosky's dedication to public service extends to the community. She has been actively involved with various civic organizations, including serving on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound from 2017 to 2022 and participating in the Olympia Education Foundation. Her support for global initiatives is illustrated in her involvement with World Vision and the Octopus Foundation. In recognition of her contributions, she was honored as Volunteer of the Year by Teach with TVW in 2024 and received the Crystal Apple Award in 1993. She is also a PADI certified scuba instructor and dive master.
