Before this role, he was a family service worker with Norfolk Child Protective Services for two years after beginning his career as a crisis intervention counselor with the National Coalition for Youth and Families from 2009 to 2011.

Academically, Mr. Pope holds a Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the same institution, graduating in 2009. Complementing his formal education, he has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2022.

In recognition of his achievements, Mr. Pope has been honored with inclusion in Who's Who Among American High School Students and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Pope enjoys running, spending time with family and going on family trips. In his career, his success is deeply rooted in his family background.
