She also held positions as a manager assistant at the Information Technology Research Institute from 2013 until 2014 and as a community assistant at the Domain at Fayetteville from 2012 to 2013. Laying the foundation for Ms. Sims Pettas's achievements was her academic background. She earned a Bachelor of Business in information systems with minors in Spanish, accounting and economics from the University of Arkansas in 2014, followed by a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in information technology from the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business in 2019.
