In 2020, amidst the challenges of COVID-19, Ms. Mincks transitioned her practice into a group setting, opening an office in Prairieville and hiring additional therapists and administrative staff. Within six months, she secured additional office space to accommodate growth. By 2021, she had opened locations in Baton Rouge and Metairie, significantly increasing both the number of therapy rooms and providers.

As of 2025, Ms. Mincks continues to expand her practice. On June 1, she plans to relocate her Baton Rouge office to a larger facility while simultaneously opening a fourth office in the area. Her team now consists of 65 employees, including 43 licensed providers across various specialties, such as social work, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, addiction counseling, psychiatry and psychiatric nursing. Her practice offers therapy for individuals and couples of all ages, along with medication management and telehealth services. Additionally, she supports the next generation of professionals by hosting interns who gain valuable experience in therapy, medication management and administrative functions.

Ms. Mincks' journey into the mental health profession was preceded by a robust career in retail management. She began her professional path in commission-based sales at Circuit City before advancing to management roles at Sprint and T-Mobile from 2002 to 2010. Her experience in retail honed her business acumen, which she later applied to her private practice. In 2011, she transitioned into the mental health field as an LPC-I at a counseling cooperative, followed by a position as an LPC at Acadian Care from 2013 to 2018 and as a director at Youth Empowerment Solutions from 2018 to 2019.

Ms. Mincks' academic achievements laid the foundation for her success in mental health counseling. She earned a master's degree in mental health counseling from Walden University in 2011 and a bachelor's degree in social sciences from California State University, San Marcos in 2006. These educational accomplishments equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her field. Additionally, she is a licensed professional counselor in Louisiana, a nationally certified counselor and a certified clinical trauma specialist. As a member of the American Counseling Association, she remains committed to advancing the field through continuous learning and professional development.

Ms. Mincks considers the opening of her second location to be her most significant achievement. While establishing her own private practice was a major milestone, she acknowledges that many individuals attempt to do the same but struggle to sustain it. Transitioning from a solo practice to managing a team was a defining moment, as she became responsible not only for her own success but also for the livelihoods of her employees. During their first meeting after the expansion, she found herself amazed at the sheer number of employees, reflecting on how far the organization had come. For her, the transition from a small, independent practice to a thriving business with multiple locations and a substantial team stands as a true testament to her success.

Ms. Mincks attributes her success to a combination of determination, business acumen and personal experiences with mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression. Her understanding of these struggles fuels her advocacy for mental health awareness in Louisiana's traditionally reserved culture. Moreover, her ability to integrate clinical care with sound business strategies has allowed her practice to thrive. She believes that perseverance and structure are key, and perhaps, in her case, even her anxiety serves as a motivating force.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Mincks is actively involved in civic activities, volunteering at local schools and churches. Her commitment to community service reflects her dedication to fostering positive change both within and outside her practice. In her personal life, she cherishes spending time with her large family. With six children engaged in various extracurricular activities such as dance, basketball, MMA training and swimming, family life is central to her existence.
