Mr. Fuqua's journey with Sanmina began in 2008 when he transitioned into a corporate IT role as a product manager. He supported the manufacturing execution system (MES) at a corporate level, drawing on his extensive experience managing a team of business systems analysts responsible for internal products within Sanmina. His tenure as an IT engineer from 2001 to 2008 saw him implementing and managing MES within the manufacturing facility after SCI and Sanmina merged in 2000 to become Sanmina-SCI.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Fuqua honed his skills as a test engineer at Sanmina from 1999 to 2001 and as a quality engineer from 1997 to 1999. His work included developing test codes and working with new products for major contracts with companies like HP. Before joining Sanmina, he worked at SCI in various roles, including process engineer and technician during the mid-1990s. Mr. Fuqua's career began as a technician at Ampex and Apple, where he gained foundational experience that would later inform his expertise in electronics engineering.

Mr. Fuqua's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering technology from DeVry Institute of Technology, which he earned in 1991. This education laid the groundwork for his career as an electronics engineer by trade and education. Beyond his formal education, Mr. Fuqua attributes his success to his relentless pursuit of learning opportunities, new challenges and mastering the intricacies of every product he has worked with.

Outside his professional pursuits, Mr. Fuqua is deeply committed to community service.
