As an ongoing commitment to his field, Dr. Jett is actively involved in several industry-related entities. He serves as board chair for both the Multicultural Center Health and Wellness and the Health Center Network in Kentucky, where he also holds the position of treasurer. Recognized for his storied contributions to public health and society at large, he has been named a Top Leader in Philanthropy and received the Model Practice Award from NACCHO on two separate occasions.
Dr. Jett's equally extensive academic background provided a strong foundation for his career achievements. He earned a Doctorate in Preventive Medicine from the University of Kentucky in 2011, which has been vital in shaping his approach to public health challenges. Along with his education, he attributes his success to an unwavering work ethic and belief in himself and God, all of which have guided him throughout his career.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Jett is happily married and enjoys spending time with his seven children, playing golf and smoking meat. In the coming years, he aspires to build an indoor food center in the West End of Louisville to supply fresh produce to local farmers, food pantries and a training kitchen. Having received $4.8 million in funding from MacKenzie Scott in recognition of his life's work thus far, he plans to use these resources wisely to ensure a sustainable impact and serve as a model for similar endeavors across the United States.
