Under his leadership, the organization's revenue grew from $30 million to over $250 million by 2025, and the company expanded from approximately 400 to over 2,200 participants. Despite facing Medicaid cuts of over 10% in 2018, Mr. Burmeister's strategic acumen ensured continued profitability and growth. Notably, PACE Southeast Michigan is a program designed to offer comprehensive care and services to individuals 55 and over with chronic, complex health conditions or disabilities.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Burmeister excelled as the director of business operations and information services at Beaumont Health System from 1997 to 2015. His career at Beaumont began after securing a position as a financial analyst and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest directors at the organization, where he was entrusted with turning around several struggling departments, including the Eye Institute and Endoscopy.

Mr. Burmeister's academic background laid a strong foundation for his career achievements. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics and management from Albion College in 1991. He also completed a master's degree in finance, banking, corporate finance and securities law from Walsh College in 1997. Additionally, Mr. Burmeister completed the cornerstone program in organizational leadership at Leadership Oakland in 2011. His education has been instrumental in shaping his approach to leadership and problem-solving.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Burmeister is actively involved in civic-minded organizations, with much of his charity work driven towards PACE Southeast Michigan.
