Before his tenure at Hotel Indigo, Mr. Marte gained international experience as the resident general director at Bahia Principe / Don Pablo Collection Luxury in Jamaica from 2013 to 2015. He managed a full-service resort with 1,200 rooms, navigating various trials that honed his managerial skills. From 2011 to 2012, he served as the area operation manager for BONA SA in the Dominican Republic, where he directed a food and beverage store for five chain restaurants.

Mr. Marte's career also includes significant experience in Chicago, where he worked for AZAR Company and Lakhani Hospitality. Between 2008 and 2011, he held multiple roles within the InterContinental Hotels Group, including general manager positions at Holiday Inn Oakbrook and Holiday Inn Chicago O'Hare Airport. He also served as director of operations at Holiday Inn Bolingbrook where he became general manager from 2006 to 2008. Earlier in his career, he became the youngest general manager in the history of Hampton Inn, where he worked from 2000 to 2008, and held managerial roles at Homestead Village Extended Stay America and Horizon Hotels Ltd.

His academic background includes a bachelor's degree in hospitality management in 2015 and a master's degree in business administration in 2008. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, completed in 1994. Mr. Marte's certifications include Certified Hotel Administrator from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and a Community Manager Association license from DBPR Gold Coast.

Mr. Marte's commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his participation in numerous charitable activities and his receipt of awards such as General Manager of the Year in 2006 and recognition as top of his class upon graduating from the Hilton General Manager Class.
