During this time, he worked on claim matters in Australia and received praise from the organization's vice president for his professionalism. The client he was representing found Mr. Grogel to be the only representative with whom they were willing to discuss claims, highlighting his exceptional negotiation skills.

Mr. Grogel was previously hired by Fluor Corporation in 2006 as a lead cost. He then served as a project controls manager in 2010, project controls lead cost manager from 2011 to 2012, and principal project controls specialist between 2012 and 2013. Mr. Grogel's tenure at Fluor Corporation was marked by a notable achievement in Georgia, where he successfully conducted a claim justification for a client, leading to a $25 million claim victory.

Mr. Grogel's earlier career includes self-consulting with EPMS Consulting from 2000 to 2006 and serving as a project controls manager at CH2M HILL between 1997 and 1999. Fluor Corporation initially acquired him as a cost engineer in 1995, where he spent two years in his role. Earlier, Mr. Grogel gained substantial experience in project controls at Ebasco for over two decades, beginning in 1974.

Before beginning his remarkable professional career, Mr. Grogel's foundational years included three years of service with the U.S. Army, which instilled discipline and contributed significantly to subsequent success. Academically, he received a Bachelor of Science in commerce with a focus on finance from DePaul University in 1992. Mr. Grogel also received credentials as a Bechtel-certified lead cost by Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals, solidifying his expertise in the field.

Mr. Grogel is an active member of several industry-related and civic organizations, such as the Project Management Institute and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
