Serving as an educator at The International Family Academy since 2021, Ms. Brown has built a remarkably diverse career as an instructor, accounting manager and clerk. In her current role, she teaches English, language arts, reading and writing to 7th - 12th-grade students. Her innovative methods have led to remarkable success in preparing her students for the Annual Assessment Testing, Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) and the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT). By adapting her approach to meet the diverse and individual needs of her learners, she has successfully helped all of her students pass their exams while being well-prepared for college. Praised for achieving such a high level of proficiency in her field, she is widely recognized for her expertise in teaching and mentorship.

Prior to entering the teaching realm, Ms. Brown worked as a building clerk for the City of Opa-Locka from 2013 to 2019. During this time, she gained valuable experience in public service and handled business licenses, landlord tenant permits, quarterly and annual reports and much more. Before that, she was an accounting manager at D. Stephenson Construction Inc. during which she developed a strong foundation in financial management, human resources functions and bank reconciliations.

Ms. Brown's academic achievements have played a significant role in her professional career. She earned a Master of Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2016, a Master of Arts in human resources management from the University of Phoenix in 2011 and a bachelor's in counseling psychology from Trinity International University in 2006. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies and sociology from Florida Memorial University, which she completed in 2004. Her diverse educational background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in various roles throughout her career.

In addition to her formal education, Ms. Brown holds a strong commitment to serving her community and providing guidance to those in need. She was certified as a State of Florida Chaplain by the Department of Juvenile Justice in 2010 and was a youth counselor and mentor with Miami Bridge 2005 - 2009. Additionally, she takes part in volunteer efforts with Miami Rescue Mission and provides food for the homeless population.

Ms. Brown is actively engaged with the Genesis Fellowship Delegation, a musical group which she has been a member of for over 30 years. The group travels around the world and has taken part in nominations for the Dove Awards in gospel music.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Brown is a proud mother of one daughter and finds joy in spending time with her two granddaughters and one grandson and traveling. In the coming years, she aspires to fulfill a long-held dream of recording and releasing her own album, sharing her singing talent — a gift she attributes to God — with the world. She attributes her success in all areas of her life to prayer, guidance and a clear sense of purpose that has driven her journey forward.
