He began his journey with Rx Outreach in 2010 when he joined as an operations manager and pharmacy manager. Over the years, he has held a series of positions within the organization, including director of operations from 2014 to 2016 and vice president of operations from 2016 until 2019.

In 2023, Mr. Whitley was appointed the chief operating officer at Rx Outreach, a position he held until 2024 when he became the interim chief executive officer. His leadership skills and dedication to the organization's mission led to his promotion to president and chief executive officer in 2025. Since 2019, he has served as the chief financial officer and partner for various companies, including Legacy Circle Holdings, Mar-Key Investments and Newstart Rx Network. Concurrently, he dedicated his time to academia as an extended faculty adjunct professor at Harris-Stowe State University from 2017 to 2023.

Prior to his initial service at Rx Outreach, Mr. Whitley gained valuable experience at Express Scripts, where he worked as an inventory specialist and production supervisor between 2005 and 2010. He also honed his management skills as a certified swing manager at McDonald's Corporation from 1999 to 2005.

Playing a significant role in Mr. Whitley's professional success was his academic background. He graduated from Harris-Stowe State University in 2014 with magna cum laude distinction with a bachelor's degree in accounting and earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Ohio University in 2016. He attributes his accomplishments to the unwavering support of his adoptive parents and mentors who guided him throughout his education. Inspired by their influence and motivated by his own journey from orphan to chief executive officer, he is committed to mentoring others and helping them navigate their career paths.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Whitley is actively involved in civic organizations. He serves as a board member for BELIEVE STL Academy and the St. Louis Humane Society and has held the position of treasurer on the executive board of Caritas Family Solutions since 2018. His dedication to education is evident through his involvement as a finance degree program advisory board member at Harris-Stowe State University from 2015 until 2022. He was also recognized with the prestigious "40 Under 40" award by the same institution in 2019.
