In this role, she oversees operations across a vast 286,800-acre area in the Permian Basin. Her responsibilities include conducting site inspections, performing contractor safety audits and engaging with employees on-site. She is committed to coaching and mentoring teams on safety practices to enhance overall safety performance, and she takes immense pride in witnessing the transformation in safety culture among field workers, finding it a rewarding aspect of her career.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Bentley was the vice president of environment health safety at PLH Group Inc. from 2018 to 2023. During her tenure, she managed safety compliance across more than 11 subsidiary companies and collaborated closely with their presidents and safety directors. Her work involved both union and non-union crews across various operations, including pipelines, substations, power lines, directional drilling and foundation drilling. Additionally, she partnered with a utility company in Maryland and Washington to support underground power projects.

Between 2003 and 2018, Ms. Bentley served as the safety director at TESSCO Energy Services Inc., where she honed her skills in ensuring regulatory compliance and providing safety training. Her earlier career included a role as a secretary at a safety consulting firm from 1998 until 2003, during which time she worked with various trades in the oil industry to conduct performance audits and implement necessary measures for worker success.

Providing Ms. Bentley with valuable industry insights and networking opportunities that have contributed to her career growth have been her professional affiliations, including membership in the Utility Safety & Operations Leadership Network since 2015 and the International Association of Drilling Contractors. In addition, she was previously a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Instrumental in Ms. Bentley's ability to connect with field crews and foster a collaborative environment for cultural change have been her accreditations. Her educational background includes a high school diploma, and she holds numerous certifications, including as a Safety Health Specialist from the OSHA Training Institute at Red Rocks Community College in 2008 and as a Certified Utility Safety Professional.
