Dr. Roetto has established herself as a distinguished figure in mental health care, particularly marriage and family therapy and social work. As the owner of Spero Counseling Center LLC in Springfield, Missouri, since 2020, she and her team provide treatment to patients, including family and couples counseling, individual therapy, and play therapy. Sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes.

In addition to managing her busy practice, Dr. Roetto has been teaching as an assistant professor at National University since 2023. She previously taught college coursework as an adjunct professor at Missouri State University from 2020 to 2021. Dr. Roetto has expertise teaching master's program students in marriage and family therapy and social work, occasionally conducting doctorate-level teaching.

Dr. Roetto began as a care coordinator at Integrity Home Care + Hospice in Springfield from 2010 to 2013. She then served as an adoption social worker at Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri from 2014 to 2018, where she recognized the need for therapists to support adoptees dealing with ambiguous loss. This experience inspired Dr. Roetto to establish the Spero Counseling Center for ethical professional support within foster care and adoptions. Before launching her center, she worked as a licensed clinical social worker for the Center for Life Coaching and Counseling between 2018 and 2020.

Dr. Roetto has supervised numerous therapists and spoken at national and international conferences, including at the International Family Therapy Conference held in Aberdeen, Scotland, where she presented her research on ambiguous loss theory. Her research on this theory is a testament to her commitment to advancing the field.

In preparation for her future, Dr. Roetto's academic journey has been marked by significant achievements. She obtained a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Montana in 2010. Subsequently, she earned a master's degree in social work from Missouri State University in 2014 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University in 2022.

Dr. Roetto's dedication extends beyond her professional roles through membership with several industry-related organizations, including the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the International Family Therapy Association Congress. She is also a life member of the Leadership National Society. Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Roetto's commitment to advocacy is demonstrated through her volunteer work with children in foster care during special meetings within the court system.

Dr. Roetto aims to continue growing her practice into a foundationally stable entity while expanding her research and publishing her work in journals. She also plans to increase her involvement in speaking engagements at conferences worldwide and continue teaching to nurture new therapists entering the field.
