Mr. Gurley has established a distinguished career in the information technology and banking sectors, marked by his current role as vice president of implementations at CSI, where he manages teams responsible for networks, servers and end users to meet regulatory requirements for banks nationwide. Since joining the company in 2006, he has ascended through various positions, demonstrating his expertise and leadership. His tenure at CSI began as an information security consultant for four years before advancing to internal audit in 2010, then to senior director of account management in 2014. For the following seven years, he was senior director of professional services, concurrently serving as senior director of the managed services group from 2018 to 2022. In 2022, he was appointed vice president of professional services.

Before his tenure at CSI, Mr. Gurley gained valuable experience in the banking industry. He began his career at Peoples First Corporation in 1995, which was later acquired by Union Planters Bank, where he worked as a head teller for five years. He then joined National City Bank in 2005, serving as branch operations manager until 2006. He then transferred to the technology industry as a senior information security consultant where he started his career with CSI.

Mr. Gurley's academic journey has been pivotal to his professional success. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Murray State University in 2004 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration with a focus on business analytics at the same institution. Additionally, he completed coursework in accounting and finance at Drake University. His commitment to continuous learning is further evidenced by his certifications, including Security Plus from CompTIA in 2008 and Certified Information Systems Security Professional from ISC2, among many others.

A key factor in Mr. Gurley's success is his adaptability and willingness to embrace change, particularly in response to technological advancements over the past two decades. This forward-thinking mindset has allowed him to transition from a consultant role in banking and finance to an expert in information technology within the banking sector. His ability to anticipate future trends and adapt accordingly has been crucial in positioning himself as a leader in his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Gurley is deeply committed to civic engagement and philanthropy. He serves as president-elect of the United Way of Western Kentucky and has been a member of its board of directors since 2019. In addition, he was appointed by the mayor to the City of Paducah Human Rights Commission in 2024, which he helped reinstate, and volunteers with organizations such as the Paducah Cooperative Ministry and LGBTQ+ Friends and Advocates in Paducah. His involvement with the DEI Committee at CSI further underscores his dedication to community service.

In his personal life, Mr. Gurley enjoys activities like remodeling houses — having successfully remodeled six homes — being outdoors, swimming and landscaping. Looking ahead professionally, he aims to complete his master's degree while continuing his career with CSI, a company he views as having significant growth potential.
