Currently serving as the director of academic effectiveness and professor at the University of San Diego since 2024, she is instrumental in ensuring that educational institutions prioritize student learning outcomes and the quality of education. Dr. Ludvik's role involves developing systems to review and enhance learning processes, equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen careers or advanced studies.

Before her work at the university, Dr. Ludvik held several significant roles that contributed to her expertise in educational leadership. She has been a professor emeritus at San Diego State University since 2021, teaching post-secondary educational leadership on campus from 2006 to 2020. Between 2022 and 2024, she was the associate provost and director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Ludvik also served as a professor and department chair of educational leadership and policy studies at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2021 to 2022, where she also co-directed the intrapersonal competency cultivation research group.

Dr. Ludvik's career is marked by her commitment to enhancing educational practices through research and collaboration. She was awarded a senior research fellowship at UNESCO's Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace in 2017, where she developed curricula to prevent youth involvement in violent extremism. Additionally, Dr. Ludvik's work as an honorary national reviewer has influenced quality assurance standards in countries such as Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong and Cambodia.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in music pedagogy from Hastings College in 1987, Dr. Ludvik received a master's degree in adult and continuing education and teaching on campus in 1990. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in administration, curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1995. These academic achievements laid the foundation for Dr. Ludvik's successful career in education.

Dr. Ludvik's dedication extends beyond academia into civic engagement and mentorship. As the founder and president of the Rushing to Yoga Foundation since 2012, she promotes mindfulness and well-being among educators and students. Dr. Ludvik's volunteer work with organizations such as the American Educational Research Association and the Council for Opportunity in Education underscores her commitment to educational equity and access.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Ludvik is an author with numerous publications that explore topics ranging from mindfulness in education to institutional effectiveness. Her articles have been featured in esteemed journals such as Assessment Update and the Journal of Research in Innovative Teaching & Learning.

Dr. Ludvik is collaborating with the Council for Opportunity in Education to develop a career readiness toolkit for first-generation, low-income students. This initiative aims to provide affordable pathways for upward mobility while maintaining high standards of learning and development. Dr. Ludvik attributes her success to the unwavering support of her parents and mentors, who provided opportunities throughout her career.
