He has additionally served as a Master OPI Tester in Modern Standard Arabic and the Tunisian dialect since January 1994.

Dr. Sellami's career also includes a period as a diagnostic assessment trainer from 2007 to 2009, where he honed his skills in evaluating language proficiency. As a language department chairperson for the preceding three years, he was responsible for overseeing curriculum design and production coordination from 1999 to 2004. Of all his achievements, he is very proud of his industry publications, which include his PhD research dissertation on Educational Leadership with ProQuest, an academic article on Exemplary Leadership Practices in the SAGE Journal of Education and an abstract of his dissertation in Dialog on Language Instruction.

Before immigrating to the United States, Dr. Sellami taught English at a high school in Tunisia from 1989 to 1990. His journey began as an exchange student in Watsonville, California, in 1984, where he was inspired by the diverse mix of international students and cultures.

Dr. Sellami's academic achievements have played a crucial role in his professional success. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in curriculum and instruction from Northcentral University in 2016, following a post-master's degree in teaching English as a second language with a focus on language program administration. He also holds a master's degree in foreign language teaching from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a bachelor's degree in English language and literature from the University of Tunis in Tunisia, completed in 1989.

In addition to his formal education, Dr. Sellami brings a wealth of qualifications that enhance his professional expertise. He possesses native proficiency in both Standard Arabic and the Tunisian dialect, along with intermediate proficiency in French and Spanish. Known for his ability to operate effectively at multiple levels, he combines a strong sense of urgency with flexibility and creativity in dynamic environments. He is also a Certified OPIc Tester and a Certified Diagnostic Assessment Specialist and Trainer.

Dr. Sellami's contributions to his industry have been recognized with the Coin of Excellence award for his work on assessment and curriculum projects. Beyond his professional commitments, he is actively involved in civic organizations, such as the Peace Corps and various charities, and volunteers as a referee for sports leagues in his free time. In his personal life, Dr. Sellami enjoys playing ball and racket sports, swimming, watching movies and documentaries, traveling, reading and engaging with friends.
